Dace Vītola

She spent her childhood in Sabile. Dace's first doll, sewed by her granny from rags, was called Una. As a child, Dace wanted to become a nurse. She read a lot during school and Dace's favorite book was "Latvian Folk Tales". Studied at the department of music in Riga Culture and Education Workers' Technical School, then at the Folk Film Actors' Studio with Aina Matīsa and Arnolds Liniņš, graduated from the Latvian Academy of Culture as a puppet theater actor. For the first time she "really" felt a puppet was while working with the stage director Maris Koristins. The Puppet Theater is Dace's work home.
