Edgars Kaufelds
Born in Riga, spent his childhood in Čiekurkalns. Studied at Riga secondary school No. 8, then at Riga food producers' secondary school, as a pastry cook, baker and confectionery producer. After graduating from the drama theater directing course of Faculty of Screen and Theater Arts at the Latvian Academy of Culture in 2008, he joined the Latvia Puppet Theater. Puppet theater is considered to be an inexhaustible art and it’s most difficult and magical task is to bring to life a puppet. Edgar's first role with a puppet was in the performance for adults "Carmen. The Female Version." Edgar has also directed several performances at the Puppet Theater: "Max and Moritz", "The Girl with the Matches", "The Queen of Seagulls", "The Knight who had a toothache", "Alice in Wonderland", "The Half-Men", "Uncle Julius" and " Uncle Julius 2 "," Aunt Dill ","The House of the Flying Pigs ", "Subtle afflictions".
Actor at the Latvia Puppet Theater since 2008. Main director from 2023.
